PURPOSE:To minimize contamination around a photoreceptor by covering the light exit flank of a convergent optical transmitter array with a shielding member and a frame member. CONSTITUTION:A convergent optical transmitter array 5 receives an original optical image from its incidence flank 5a and exits light to be imaged on the surface of a photoreceptor 7 from its light exit flank 5b. Under the array 5, a light-transmissive shielding member 8 made of, for example, transparent glass, and a frame member 9 are arranged to cover the light exit flank 5b side of the array 5. Then, the shielding member 8 is movable, together with the array 5, to and from the frame member 9 fixed to a unit in the lengthwise direction of the array 5 and further attachable and detachable in its flank direction to cover the light exit flank 5b when it is attached. In one upper end surface of the shielding member 8 in the lengthwise direction, a brush-like imaging-element cleaning member 11 is implanted. |
