An expander screw for mounting in a predrilled blind hole 2 in lightweight concrete comprises a support sleeve 6 which at its lower end bears against an expander bush 5 made of rubber. A screw 4 bears directly or indirectly with its head 8 against the upper end of the sleeve 6. The pointed part 41 of the screw extends through the bush to be anchored in the lightweight concrete below the bottom 21 of the hole 2. By screwing the screw 4 in, the bush 5 is deformed so that it grips against the wall of the hole 2 and continues to transmit the load to the wall of the hole 2. <IMAGE> |
