PURPOSE:To sufficiently secure the received light quantity of a photometric element or a focus detecting element by transmitting the light transmitted through a first half mirror through a second half mirror and leading the transmitted light to the photometric element or focus detecting element. CONSTITUTION:The second half mirror 13 is arranged so that the P polarization component of the beam transmitted through the first half mirror and injected into the second half mirror 13 for the first half mirror forms the S polarization component for the second half mirror 13. Consequently, the light transmitted through the first half mirror is partly reflected by the second half mirror 13 and led to a first photoelectric conversion element 14a, and the remainder is transmitted through the second half mirror 13 and led to a second photoelectric conversion element 16. The beam to the first and second elements 14a and 16 is sufficiently secured in this way.
