An electrical connector (e.g. a plug) incorporates a wire stripper for removing a length of the insulation surrounding an end of the conducting core of a wire (20). The stripper includes a recess (10) to receive the end of the wire (20) and a blade (15) movable (in direction A) along a slot (14) to sever the insulation within the recess and hold the insulation within the recess when the wire is pulled (in direction B) out of the recess. |
