PURPOSE:To obtain the manufacture of a rare earth cobalt magnet, which is manufactured easily, has stable quality and contains Cu, Zr and Fe, by mixing first alloy powder containing Fe, Co and R and second alloy powder mainly comprising Cu and Zr so as to satisfy specific composition, and molding and sintering the mixed powder. CONSTITUTION:When an R2 (Fe, Co, Cu, Zr)17 alloy group sintered magnet (where R represents a rare earth element containing Y) is manufactureed, first alloy powder containing Fe, Co and R is prepared, second alloy powder using Cu and Zr as main components is, on the other hand, prepared, the first and second alloy powder is mixed at a ratio satisfying said composition, and the mixed powder is molded and sintered. An ingot consisting of 14.7wt.% Fe-26.5wt.% Sm-Co and an ingot made up of 40.0wt.% Zr-Cu are coarsely crushed respectively, coarsely crushed powder is weighed so that 13.6wt.% Fe-4.5wt.% Cu-3.0wt.% Zr-24.5wt.% Sm as the whole composition and residual substantial Co are acquired, and wet-ground by a ball mill up to mean grain size of 3mum, and the mixed powder is employed. |
