PURPOSE:To obtain an epoxy resin mold material having excellent durability, tear strength, tensile strength and releasability and suitable for the production of a simple-type mold by compounding a urethane-modified epoxy resin, an amine hardener and an internal mold-release agent at specific ratios. CONSTITUTION:The objective epoxy resin mold material can be produced by compounding (A) a urethane-modified epoxy resin (e.g. produced by reacting a compound containing epoxy group and hydroxyl group with a compound containing terminal isocyanate group and urethane bond), (B) an amine hardener (e.g. diethylenetriamine) and (C) an internal mold-release agent composed mainly of an aliphatic ester (e.g. methyl stearate) and a cellulosic material (e.g. cellulose). The ratio of the number of epoxy groups of the component A to the number of active hydrogen groups of the component B is 0. 1-1.2, preferably 0.5-1.0 and the amount of the component C is 0.5-20 pts.wt., preferably 1-10 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the component A. |
