PURPOSE:To have stable securing onto a base board and prevent damage of the inner wall of a through hole in the board by providing an insertion part for a branch leg made of a material having electroconductivity and resilience, widening the inter-leg gap toward the tip so as to have a size larger than the dia. of a through hole, and reducing the thickness of each leg toward the tip. CONSTITUTION:When the tip 12 of a terminal concerned 10 is inserted into a through hole provided in a printed circuit board, legs 11 of this two-pronged structure reduce their gap and enter the through hole, and by its resilient force the ridge of each leg 11 is put in tight contact with the inner wall of the through hole to cause application of a pressing force over the whole surface. This ensures that the two are secured to each other stably. If consideration is made upon assumption that the ridge part of leg contacting the inner wall of the through hole at the time of pressure fitting is divided into points, these points creep on the inner wall of the through hole while following straight loci as different respectively because each leg thickness reduces toward the tip, so that the loci can be avoided from overlapping, and the probability of damaging the inner wall is decreased to a great extent. |
