The present invention relates to a tyre pressure detector for a vehicle, of the type comprising a first assembly (100) fixed to the rim of the wheel and including a pressure-sensitive switch comprising an electrical changeover switch member associated with a transmitter device, and a second assembly (200) fixed to a non-rotating part of the vehicle, designed to pick up a signal sent by the transmitter device (100) characterised in that the first assembly comprises at least two electrical changeover switching members (114, 124) designed to switch over upon detection of different events associated respectively, and in that the second single assembly (200) is designed to determine the status of each of the electrical changeover switching members (114, 124) from the signal generated by the first subassembly (100). <IMAGE>
