DECORATIVE MOLDED PRODUCT AND PREPARATION THEREOF

PURPOSE:To prepare a molded product excellent in decorative properties, fashionability and durability by forming a membrane composed of a scratch-resistant coating composi tion to the inner surface of a mold and placing a porous decorative material thereon and filling the mold with a gellike methacrylic polymer to perform molding. CONSTITUTION:A decorative molded product is formed by interposing a porous decora tive material 2 between a scratch-resistant membrane 1 formed by curing a coating composition based on a crosslinking polymerizable compound with an MW of 150 or more having at least two (meth)acryloyloxy group per one molecule to bring the same to a dry-to-the-touch state and a methacrylic resin molding material composed of a gel like polymer and heating the whole under pressure. The decorative molded product is a molded one formed by fixing the base material and the scratch-resistant coating layer through the methacrylic resin infiltrated into the fine gaps of the porous decorative material layer without using an adhesive. That is, the methacrylic resin molding material composed of the gel like polymer constituting the base material is infiltrated into the fine gap of the porous decorative material layer to reach the scrach-resistant coating layer and polymerized with the component constituting the scratch-resistant film and/or diffused in the film to strongly and integrally bond the decorative material layer and the coating layer.
