PURPOSE:To extend a handset even into a base unit without a dial key by using part of a specific identification code given to the base unit as a password when a system identification code and a slave set identification code are registered in an extended or a 1st handset. CONSTITUTION:A system identification code SYID and a slave set identification code HSID are registered in an extended or a 1st handset 1. Since a specific identification code SYID is given to a base unit 2 and part of the identification code SYID is used for a password ID when the system identification code SYID and the slave set identification code HSID are registered in an extended or a 1st handset 1, a ten-key to input the password ID is not required for the base unit 2. Thus, the handset 1 is extended even in the base unit 2 having no dial key.
