PURPOSE:To calculate a neuron output value at high speed by providing a function to calculate the updated value of the neuron output value and a function to calculate difference between the expected value of the neuron output value and the obtained neuron output value. CONSTITUTION:On a semiconductor chip, following circuits are integrated such as a memory circuit to store information, input/output circuit to execute any one of operations to write or read the information from the memory circuit, arithmetic circuit to calculate the neuron output value, to compare the output value with the expected value (to calculate the degree of coincidence between the obtained output value and the expected value, namely, to calculate a so- called hamming distance) or to execute arithmetic required for learning by using the information stored in the memory circuit, and a control circuit to control the operations of the memory circuit, input/output circuit and arithmetic circuit. Thus, an information processing is executed at high speed. |
