The present invention relates to a fixation bracket 1 for the male part of a femoral prosthesis ball-and-socket element capable of being fixed in the medullary cavity 2 of a femur 3. The bracket comprises at least one shaft 4 and a fixation head 5 defining an axis of fixation 11, the shaft comprising first 7 and second 8 consecutive parts, the first part being limited by a concave inner side 12 and a convex outer side 13 inscribed in an angle substantially equal to 150 DEG , the second part 8 defining an axis of direction 9 of introduction into the medullary cavity, the surface of the two said parts comprising micro-cavities which are obtained by bombardment with micro-spheres of a diameter substantially equal to five microns. <IMAGE>
