478,392. Mechanical switches without quick action. OAK MANUFACTURING CO. Dec. 9, 1936, No. 33810. Convention date, Sept. 8. [Class 38 (v)] A switch suitable for use in wireless apparatus comprises an insulating stator plate 1 having a central aperture whose circumference is formed of gaps 6 and tongues 7. An insulating rotor 25 is mounted to rotate inside the aperture, and with its periphery just clearing the ends of tongues 7. Stator contacts 15 formed of folded strip, are riveted in position so that the jaws 'lie in the gaps 6 and co-operate with annular rotor contacts 30 riveted to the rotor and overlying the edge of the aperture in the stator. The stator contacts project different distances and the rotor contacts are formed with projections such as 36, so that when the rotor is turned by a spindle in an aperture 26, selective switching results. Any number of such switch sections may be ganged for simultaneous operation. Specification 478,391 is referred to. |
