Form, fill, seal packaging machine is adapted to use a continuous supply of tubular bag film having interlocked reclosable fastener elements on its opposed plies. The film is fed through a filling station which supplies predetermined amounts of product, uninterrupted guidance of the film through the station being facilitated by guide means immediately preceding it including one guide wheel engaging an interior surface of the film and another engaging the fastener elements. Means for separating the fastener elements precedes the filling station, the guide means and separating means being supported by a common support arm which immediately follows the guide wheel on which the separating means is positioned between the fastener elements. The machine also includes means for pressing the fastener elements together again in interlocking relationship, means for laterally sealing the bag film to form a bag having opposed side seams, and means for severing each bag from the bag film.
