The safety comprises a piston spring-loaded against water pressure, and displaceably located in the direction of the projectile longitudinal axis. A mass is movable in the same direction under the effect of inertia. The piston (3) is connected to a first and/or second stop (9,10), the first blocking a drive (15,21,22) in the safety position, whilst the second blocks a rotor-thruster (11) carrying a detonator, which is coupled to the drive (22). The drive comprises a mass movable under the effect of a firing acceleration, and which corresponds to a gearwheel connected to a rotary spring. The rotary spring is coupled to the rotor. USE/ADVANTAGE - In military naval operations, to secure a sea mine in the primed state until initiated.
