Cover for tanks with flexible length of sheeting

The cover consists of a flexible length of fabric or foil which is impervious to liquids and gas, and serves as a covering-strip (1). The strip has through-holes for gas (2) over its entire surface and near which are hollow conical floats (3) each possessing an axial through-hole (4). The gas-through-holes are positioned near the top orifice of the hole in the hollow conical float. At least near one side edge of the covering strip is an opening (5) defined by a cut-out section the edges of which are joined to sealing ridges (7) over the top of the strip. The opening part is covered by a concertina-shaped folding closure strip (8).
