<p>Wet sewage sludge arisings are divided into two fractions (2, 4), the first (2) of which is burnt (3) at an air coefficient of about 1.2 and a temperature of about 800-900 DEG C so that the heat generated by this combustion is just sufficient to dry the second fraction of the sludge. Combustion (3) and drying (5) are carried out in fluidized beds which are thermally linked to each other.</p> |
