A washing machine or dishwasher incorporates a device for the dispensing of pumpable detergent or rinsing auxiliary. A water level recorder designed as a pressure measuring box is connected to a vertical wall of the washing soln container via a pressure recording pipe. The pipe nozzle extending into the washing soln container is below the washing soln level during washing operation. A dispensing pipe is moulded into the pressure recording pipe, ends next to or close above the nozzle opening and features a tube connection outside the pressure recording tube. ADVANTAGE - The dispensing line is coupled to a washing soln container point for which no new hole needs to be provided. This point is below the usual washing soln level in the container.
