Fluidisable material delivery system - with adjustable fluidising opening for precise dosing

(A) In fludisable material delivery equipment including a fluidising device underneath a material supply vessel, the novelty is that an opening of adjustable size is provided between the supply vessel and the fluidising device. (B) In a process for dosing fluidisable material and pneumatically transperring the dosed material from a supply vessel. The novelty is that the material is dosed by adjustment of the size of an opening at the bottom end of the supply vessel, and is fluidised and transported by a fluidising device below the opening. USE/ADVANTAGE - The equipment and process are used for dosing and transporting finely divided solids of low bulk density (claimed), e.g. flyash, C black, coal dust and highly dispersed metal oxides, esp. highly dispersed silicon filter in the prodn. of plastics mixts. Matrials can be inexpensively and accurately dosed independently of the material bed height in the supply vessel.
