PURPOSE:To enhance the shape-holding ability of a packing by folding at least one of tape-like packing materials in a thicknesswise directions in a zigzagging manner with the repetitions of a crest and a through so as to obtain a braid-like member. CONSTITUTION:At least one of tape-like packing materials 2A, 2B, 3C are folded thicknesswise in a zigzag manner with the repetitions of crests 3A and troughs 3B so as to obtain a braid-like member 4. Next, the repetitions of the crests and troughs which are orthogonal to the folding direction of the braid-like member are secured by a fastening member. Each opposed pair of surfaces which are obtained by the folding and which face together are bonded in parts by means of an adhesive so as to hold its shape, thereby it is possible to obtain a desired packing 1.
