FOOD COMPOSITION HAVING IMPROVING ACTION OF SERUM LIPID COMPONENT

PURPOSE:To obtain a food composition having depressing action for serum lipid or total cholesterol in blood serum or improving action for metabolism of serum lipoprotein containing purified substance of roasted dextrin derived from heat-decomposing of (hydrolyzed) starch as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:The aimed composition contains purified substance of roasted dextrin (preferably containing glucose as constituting sugar, having 1 2 and 1 3 bonds other than 1 4 and 1 6 bonds and having 1-6 anhydroglucose in a part of reduced terminal) obtained by heat-decomposing of (hydrolyzed) starch, occasionally in the presence of an acid, as an active ingredient.
