摘要 PURPOSE:To increase number of stations to be accommodated and a transmission range by providing 1st and 2nd rare-earth group dope optical fibers and an exciting means exciting the rare-earth group dope optical fibers and outputting an amplified optical signal with an equal level to the bi-directional optical transmission line in both left and right directions. CONSTITUTION:A 1st rare-earth group dope optical fiber 2a is provided between branching means 3a, 3b and an incoming direction connection means 4d connecting to optical transmitters 8a, 8b and optical receivers 7a, 7b, and a 2nd rare-earth group dope optical fiber 2b having an optical amplification factor making a level of a transmission optical signal in the incoming direction connection means 4d equal to a level of the transmission optical signal in the incoming direction connection means 4d is provided between the branching means 3b and an outgoing connection means 6c. Moreover, exciting means 11, 12 exciting the 1st and 2nd rare-earth group dope optical fibers 2a, 2b are provided. Then the 1st and 2nd rare-earth group dope optical fibers 2a, 2b amplify the optical signal outputted from the optical transmitters 8a, 8b and send the signal to the 2-way optical transmission line at a same level. Thus, number of stations able to be connected to an optical bus and the transmission range are increased.
