<p>PURPOSE:To provide the subject composition containing a specific tetrakisazo dye, having high stability and safety and suitable for writing utensil, ink-jet printing and recorder. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition contains a tetrakisazo dye of formula I [M is H, Na, K, Li or NH4; B1 and B2 are group of formula II or III (m is 0 or 1; n is 0-2; Y1 is COOM; Y2 is H, Cl, CH3, OH, OCH3, COOM or SO3M; Z is H, CH3 or t-C4H9)]. The dye of formula I can be produced e.g., by tetrazotizing 4,4'-diaminostilbene-2-2'-disulfonic acid amide, coupling the resultant compound with a compound of formula V and coupling the obtained compound with a compound of formula VI or a compound of formula VII.</p> |
