PURPOSE:To enable three-dimensional photographing within an object to be inspected by a practical photographing method with na ultrasonic probe employing an electrostrictive material having a crossing type electrode as electro-acoustic conversion section by performing a transmission and a reception of ultrasonic waves by a cross fan beam system. CONSTITUTION:For example, when a transmitting circuit for ultrasonic pulses is connected to an electrode array A and a bias voltage application circuit to an electrode array B, an ultrasonic fan beam T can be radiated within an object to be inspected. After the transmission of an ultrasonic wave, when the bias voltage application circuit is connected to a part or the whole of the electrode array B and a receiving circuit and a phasing addition circuit means are connected to a part or the whole of the electrode array B, a received wave beam within the object to be inspected to be determined virtually by a phasing addition processing is turned to a fan beam R and an overlapped part of a received fan beam with a fan beam T transmitted serves as main reflection source of ultrasonic waves within the object to be inspected. The above overlapped part is scanned in a direction of dividing any of the electrode arrays to form one tomographic image and moreover, a two-dimensional electronic scanning is performed which is repeated moving the action of obtaining the tomographic image in a direction of dividing the other electrode array to accomplish a three-dimensional photographing. |
