PURPOSE:To wash a magnetic recording disk to which laping has been performed, without using an organic solvent, by press-contacting the polishing cloth, making plenty of water flow, and changing a position where the polishing cloth contacts with the disk. CONSTITUTION:Washing water is fed from a nozzle 3 provided with a stop valve 31 to a coating film surface 11 of a magnetic recording disk 1 placed on a rotary disk of a spinner consisting of a longitudinal rotary shaft 21 projected from a watertight bearing at the bottom of a drain pit, and a horizontal rotary disk 22. Also, a roll-like polishing cloth tape 4 consisting of an organic fibrous material drown out from a reel 7 is wound up by a take-up reel 6 at a low speed, making it press-contact by prescribed pressure with the applying surface which is rotated at a high speed by a freely rotatable press-contacting rubber roll 5, by which a magnetic recording disk is washed after its lapping has been performed. |
