PURPOSE:To improve the design characteristic and joining strength of conventional aluminum clad steel plates lacking the conditions of pressure welding, diffusion annealing, finish rolling, and softening and annealing processes by specifying these conditions. CONSTITUTION:In a pressure welding process, aluminum or aluminum alloy is superposed on at least one side of an aluminum hot dipped steel plate, and these are rolled to a pressure-welded laminate plate. In the next diffusion annealing process, the pressure welded plate is annealed under the conditions under which the recrystallization annealing of the steel plate layer does not occur, within a 300-450 deg.C annealing temp. range, so that the mutual diffusion of the pressure-welded layers is progressed. Thence, in the finish rolling, the resultant clad plate is rolled under <=20% draft. In the final softening and annealing process, the clad plate is annealed under the conditions under which the aluminum or aluminum alloy forms coarse crystal grains at 500-750 deg.C annealing temps., whereby the aluminum clad steel plate is obtained. |
