EXTREME-PRESSURE ADDITIVE FOR CUTTING OIL

PURPOSE:To provide the subject additive exhibiting an excellent performance on the cutting procession of a metal sightly cut, having no problem on the solubility of a base oil and on change in the property of the base oil and not containing a chlorinated paraffin by employing a dialkylpolythiophosphate. CONSTITUTION:The objective additive comprises a dialkylpolythiophosphate prepared by reacting (A) a dialkyldithiophosphoric acid (salt) with (B) sulfur chloride, the dialkyl dithiophoric acid (salt) comprising the reaction product of (i) an aliphatic alcohol mixture of a 7-10C aliphatic alcohol and a <=6C aliphatic alcohol with (ii) phosphorus pentachloride or comprising an alkali metal or ammonium salt thereof.
