The invention concerns a method for recovering and treating press liquid from ensilage, in which: a) the press liquid arising from ensilage production is conveyed from the fodder silo or stack to a container to which one or more preserving agents have been added, b) the press liquid conveyed to the container is transported to a treatment plant in a tanker or in the said container, c) the press liquid is pasteurized if so required, d) salts and/or other components not including sugar are removed from the press liquid if so desired, e) the press liquid is evaporated to a concentrated syrup. The invention also concerns the use of products which have been obtained by this method and a new fodder mix.
