PURPOSE:To improve the machinability and assemblability in a manufacturing stage and maintenance ability in a usage stage by constituting the tilting device of outboard motor in such a way that the spindle of the intermediate arm of a tilt locking device and the spindle of the support arm of a tilt holding device may be coaxialized on a swivel bracket. CONSTITUTION:Support shafts 21A and 21B are arranged in nearly parallel and coaxially with a tilt shaft 13 to a swivel bracket 15, and to the support shaft 21A, a operation lever 22 is fixed, and an intermediate arm 23 for operating engaging arms 25 and 28 is fixed, and a swing arm 24 for operating a support arm 49 is fixed. The arm 49 is rotatably supported by a clamp bracket 12 through the support shafts 21A and 21B, and the head engaging section 50 of the arm 49 is engageably constituted to each of engaging step sections 46, 46A, and 47. That is, in equipping a tilt locking device and a tilt holding device, the intermediate arm 23 of the support shafts 21A and 21B of the tilt locking device and the support shafts 21A and 21B of the support arm 49 of the tilt holding device are coaxialized on the bracket 15 resulting in the simplification of the layout of the component of the bracket 15. |
