Detector device which is intended principally for use in establishments or premises, such as banks, or customs houses, where it is necessary to detect firearms, for which purpose the users of said services pass through the detector, the latter being formed by a pair of transmitting coils 1 and 2 and receiving coils 3 and 4, so that the transmitting coils are connected to a generator of pulses 5 and 6 which create a magnetic spectrum 7 and 8 which determines the height and width of the object, whilst a second pair of transmitting coils 9, between which there is a receiving coil 10, the transmitting coils 9 being connected to a pulse generator 12, creates a magnetic spectrum 11 which determines the length of the object in the direction of passage of the user through the detector. <IMAGE>
