PURPOSE:To obtain a fat and oil composition for foods of infant substantially not containing an isomer of alpha-linolenic acid, by controlling content and ratio of linolenic acid and alpha-linolenic acid. CONSTITUTION:20-60 wt.% mixed fats and oils comprising 1 pt.wt. soybean oil subjected to low-temperature deodorizing treatment and 0.2-3 pts. wt. colza oil subjected to low-temperature deodorizing treatment are blended with 40-80 wt.% singular fats and oils or mixed fats and oils containing 0-10 wt.% alpha- linolenic acid. By blending both the components, a fat and oil composition useful not only for fats for ordinary infant or for formulated milk for infant but also for milk of specific use for infant, such as milk for immature baby, allergic disease baby or baby of inborn error of metabolism or for other foods for infant is obtained. |
