PURPOSE:To improve efficiency for utilizing preserved data by temporarily inhibiting the reproducing of a recorded picture, for which it is not desired to observe, out of plural recorded picture and making the recorded picture, which is made unnecessary later, erasable. CONSTITUTION:For the recorded picture not to desire being reproduced, corresponding to the respective recorded pictures, the picture data of the picture is stored in a control information memory area 40 of a picture recording medium 12 for storing control information related to the recorded picture. Then, write inhibit information is set to inhibit the write of the picture data in the prescribed memory area of a picture data memory area 42. Concerning the picture data of the recorded picture, after the lapse of prescribed time from the write time point of the control information shown by the write time information, the write inhibit information is reset and the picture data can be rewritten into the prescribed memory area of the picture data memory area 42 for storing the picture data of the recorded picture. Thus, the efficiency can be improved for utilizing the preserved data of the picture recording medium. |
