The control panel incorporates a programme keyboard with start and stop buttons (11,12). The start button (11) is operated to activate a programme memory holding the different cooking programme, further keys (14) for selection of the required programme are indicated via a display (10,13). Two different programme memories are used, one of which holds the cooking programme provided by a recipe book, the other memory being freely programmable by the user.
