The device described for the measurement, without physical contact, of the speed, displacement distance and/or range of a reflecting object has a laser diode (LD) as light source, transmission and receiver optics (L1, L2) for aiming the laser light from the laser diode (LD) at the object (1) and for feeding part of the laser light reflected by the object (1) back to the laser resonator, and a detector unit for detecting and analysing the laser light emitted by the laser diode (LD). Fitted to determine the modulation frequency of the laser light, which is frequency-modulated as a function of the feedback to the laser resonator, is a frequency discriminator (ring resonator 2), a photodiode (PD1) and a processing circuit (3) with a spectrum analyser (SA). |
