Connecting device for switchboards - involves traverses inserted between two adjacent bearers of individual boards

Between two adjoining bearers (2) for the switchboards (14,15) traverses (1) are fitted which are releasably fixed to the bearers (2), and incorporate counter bearings (7) for accommodation of tension component (6) claws (19). Each traverse has two profiles (4) forming the outer edges, and connected by struts (5) running vertically to them. Between the profiles is fitted a long counter bearing (7). Tension plates (3) and screws (12) are provided for the outer edges of each profile, the screws being inserted through free spaces in the bearer webs (10). The profile outer edges are C or U-shaped with the same height and width of the webs of the grid or framework bearers (2). USE/ADVANTAGE - As a means for connecting adjoining switchboards, with a capacity to withstand considerable bending moments.
