The partial vacuum draws air through the scavenging port (10). The compressed air flows through the transfer port (7) into the combustion chamber while the valve (30 rotates to half-close the exhaust port (9) before fuel is injected (14). The diaphragm control (11) continues to admit air until the scavenging port (10) is closed. ADVANTAGE - Engine power and efficiency are increased without loss of fuel.
