SLIDES FOR USE IN THE ANALYSIS OF LIQUIDS

The invention concerns slides for use in the analysis of liquids, with a test zone (7) held by a frame (2), the frame (2) having an upper section (3) and a lower section (4), at least the upper section (3) having an aperture (6) through which a liquid sample can be placed on the upper surface (7a) of the test zone. Handling is facilitated and analytical repeatability improved by virtue of the fact that the lower section (4) has a recess (16) for the test zone (7), the recess being surrounded by position-control means (15) which are higher than the test zone (7). The test-zone aperture (6) is larger than the test zone (7) so that the edge (18) of the test zone is visible. The upper section (3) is fitted with arms which project into the test-zone aperture (7) and rest on the upper surface (7a) of the test zone (7).
