The invention concerns a device for adjusting the blades of a three-blade shearing machine. The device consists of a frame (1) with sockets (2) to receive a clamping plate (5, 9) or (12) and its attached blade (6, 10) or (13) respectively. - The position of the blade relative to its clamping plate can be adjusted by screws (15, 16). The upper edge of the blade (6, 10) or (13) is covered by a protective strip (19). This protective strip has holes (19a) in the positions of the clock gauges (17, 18) which indicate when the blade is correctly adjusted. The protective strip (19) reduces the risk of an accident which might injure the operator.
