Polyarylene sulphide! moulding materials with good melt flow

Moulding materials (I) are claimed, contg. (A) 70-99.8 wt.% polyarylene sulphide with melt viscosity 5-500 Pa.s (at 306 deg.C and shear stress = 1000 Pa) and (B) 0.02-30 wt.% xylene-formaldehyde resin, with 0-400 wt.% additives (w.r.t. a+b). Also claimed is prodn. of (I), by mixing 70-99.8 (85-99) wt.% solid or molten (A) (PPS) with 0.02-30 (1-15) wt.% (B) and homogenising the mixt. in the melt at 180-350 deg.C.
