Ureter catheter with guide sleeve - has slider to enable sleeve to be removed after catheter has been inserted

A flexible ureter catheter (1) is enclosed in a tight fitting sleeve (4) which serves as a guide when the catheter (1) is inserted into the patient's body. When the catheter (1) and sleeve (4) are coupled together with whole of the effective length of the catheter (1) lies inside the sleeve (4). The sleeve (4) is provided with a slider (5) which can be moved axially by means of a knob (7) which is connected to the slider (5) by a rib. This rib passes through a longitudinal slot (6) in the sleeve (4). The slider (5) enables the sleeve to be removed from the catheter when the catheter has been inserted into the patient.
