The present invention relates to a ski safety binding, including a body (4) provided with a jaw (5) including two wings (6) for lateral retention of the front of a boot (2), and which contains an energy-generating mechanism for the retention jaw (5), this mechanism including a principal tie (10) which stresses transverse parts (34) integral with the wings (6) in order to apply them against the boot (2), a shock absorber (40) comprising two principal elements, namely a body (42) and a piston (46). This binding is characterised in that it includes a secondary tie, one end of which is linked to the second principal element of the shock absorber (40), and the other end of which can be stressed in translation towards the rear by means of second transverse parts (56) integral with the wings (6). <IMAGE>
