PURPOSE:To perform PGM switching without shutting off a system by providing the 1st file of a shared program PGM, a 2nd file which stores a new sub-PGM, and the 3rd file of a file switching processing PGM. CONSTITUTION:A desired switching date is set to the 3rd file 103 provided with a PGM 123 which performs the user PGM storing file switching processing and updates the working environment information. When a shared user PGM1(121) is activated, the switching processing of the file 103 is called for every user. The present date 131 is compared with the precedent access date 132 via a 4th file 104 storing the working environment. If it is after switching date, the file 103 is switched to a 2nd file 102 storing a new PGM. When this switch is ended, the processing is restored to the original user PGM. The unswitched PGM once runs when the new PGM is released and is switched in the next time. Then a new user PGM is delivered, and the working environment is changed without shutting off the system.
