PRODUCTION OF FOAMED RUBBER SHEET AND EQUIPMENT THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To produce a foamed rubber sheet which is utilized for the sound insulation material for a floor and has many swelled parts on one face by a simple equipment by feeding unvulcanized and unfoamed rubber sheet material which has viscosity sufficient to be solidified and vulcanization velocity on the upper-position traveling face of a wire conveyor belt and heating the said rubber sheet material together with the wire conveyor belt while reciprocating and contrarotating it. CONSTITUTION:The rubber sheet material A has Mooney viscosity of 5-15 and vulcanization velocity wherein (t) 90 at the vulcanization temp. of 145 deg.C is 6-8 minutes. This rubber sheet material A is continuously fed on the upper-position traveling face 7a of a wire conveyor belt 7 positioned to the upper part of a driving sprocket 5 from a feeder 3. The said sheet material is reciprocated and contrarotated through the inside of a heater 1 together with the traveling wire conveyor belt 7. The heating temp. of the heater 1 is set e.g. at 145 deg.C. The rubber sheet material A is heated and foamed and thereafter drawn by a winder 8 from the lower-position traveling face 7b of the wire conveyer belt 7 and carried out from the opening 2 of the heater 1. Thereafter the rubber sheet material A is cooled in the interval wherein it is wound on the winder 8 via guide rolls 9. Thereby the foamed rubber sheet is wound on the winder 8 as a final product.
