(1) In the prodn. of a new cheese prod. as a collapsible cheese-pie, the cheese-pie is prepd. inside a beaker-like package by: (a) introducing herbs into the recess or recesses provided in the beaker pt. of the package. (b) Then, a curd-based fresh- or processed cheese compsn. is filled in, in different alternating layers, at 70 deg.C (c) The beaker is sealed with a foil and set, with the wide opening downwards, on a supporting cup. (d) The compsn. in the package is cooled, pref. at 2 deg C/24 hrs., and solidified. (e) The adhesion of the herbs to the container-wall is loosened by quickly heating the surface, esp. by leading through a water-bath at 40 deg.C. (f) The prod. is cooled to a storage temp of 10 deg.C (g) The upper longitudinal edges of the packaging are rolled to loosen the content. (2) The packaging consists of a longitudinal internally smooth beaker pt., conically widening towards the open side, made of flexible but dimensionally stable material, esp. polypropylene. The larger bearing-surface is sealed with a foil which can be drawn off. The centre of the beaker-bottom is provided with at least one concentric, flat recess, or corrugation, for taking up a further substance.
