<p>The invention relates to an electromechanical winnings dispensing mechanism for slot machines, wherein a release coin (12) through the intermediary of a pulse issued by a sensor means (11) placed in a hit gate (14) is adapted to control a magnet or a relay (10, 13) which upon attracting for a short period pivots a winnings dispensing lever (2) which, upon pivoting, releases one or a plurality of coins to drop from one or a plurality of coin columns (6) into a winnings dispensing bowl (18). Adjacent to each coin column (6) at a certain height from the bottom end of a coin column is located a control means (15) which informs a processor unit (16) in case the height of a coin column remains short of the height of control means (15), said processor unit (16) allocating the winnings dispensing action to such a coin column (6) whose control means (15) reports that the height of a coin column reaches at least the level of control means (15).</p> |
