The self-supporting construction, according to the invention, exhibits a front face inclined rearwards, composed of box structures (1) placed on one another in a self-locking fashion, each box structure comprising a lower border (1c) and an upper border (1b), the said box structures (1) being distributed in at least one lower first row placed on a bed plate (3), and an upper last row (5) determining the crest (top) (6) of the construction, each row including a plurality of box structures (1) evenly spaced from one another by a gap (7) at most equal to the largest horizontal dimension of one box structure. The same construction is also composed of front connection pieces (8), each one straddling a gap (7) between two adjacent box structures and each one comprising an apron (8a) of horizontal extension resting at its two ends on the two upper borders (1b) of the two adjacent box structures (1) respectively, front means (8b) and (8c) for immobilising with respect to the front face (1d) of the two adjacent box structures (1), as well as a stop piece (8d) from the front of the lower border of the box structure (1) immediately above resting above the said gap. <IMAGE>
