<p>A method and related apparatus for manufacturing in increased numbers, reduced-size bandless, multi-ply or multi-fold leaflets (10), commonly referred to as 'game tickets' or 'jar tickets'. The articles attain a level of security by internal opacity that is achieved with localized printing of matter (12) at predetermined locations combined with successive manufacturing operations on the leaflet including folding (46), crimping or perforating (48), slitting (58), and gluing (45). The operations result in longitudinal crimps or perforations (20a, 20b) and/or transverse crimps or perforations (20c) at designated locations of the game ticket, and adhesion (18) at other predetermined locations. The game ticket may be opened along the crimps or perforations but may not be resealed, thus resulting in greater security.</p> |
