Secure re-usable event-recording memory - uses micro-processor controlled delay of memory erasure to guarantee data security

An electronic read/write memory, e.g. EEPROM, is triggered to record the prevailing and subsequent conditions in partic. events, e.g. automobile accident, to prove/disprove component failure as a cause. The memory only becomes erasable, under microprocessor control, after several days. It must be connected to the appropriate erasure voltage for a predetermined period, the process being irreversible. ADVANTAGE - Accident data is secure once recorded. Memory unit is re-usable with minimal cost.
