A mould, for producing a duplicate model of a patient's jaw and teeth, consists of a base plate (2) with a detachably connected housing (3). The base plate (2) has three upwardly projecting pins (14) and each pin (14) is fitted with a sleeve (15). These pins (14) and sleeves (15) locate the model in a precise angular position relative to the base plate (2). A bush (5) is fitted in the wall of the housing (3) at a distance above the base plate (2) and with its axis parallel to the upper surface of the base plate. The bush serves as a means for filling the mould with silicone and is sealed with a piston (6). The mould is covered with a lid (4) and there is a radial gap (X) between lid and housing which is filled with silicone. USE - Dentistry.
