The invention concerns a device for fitting to a bicycle to ensure that any vehicle overtaking the bicycle gives the cyclist sufficient clearance to eliminate the risk of an accident. The device consists of a small flap attached to the outer end of a laterally projecting horizontal rod with the inner end of the rod being attached to the bicycle frame.
